"Ohr Rachel Our Mother" Charity Center

"Or Rachel Imenu" is a non-profit organization established in 2011 by women from the city of Beitar Illit. The founder of the organization, Efrat Sherbani, established "Or Rachel" with the goal of providing warm meals to hungry children whose parents are unable to provide them with proper meals. The organization operates about 14 kilometers away from the Tomb of Rachel our Mother—a figure that serves as a source of inspiration for it. "Or Rachel" relies entirely on volunteers and provides food to families in Jerusalem, Gush Etzion, and adjacent areas.

The organization advocates the view that food should be prepared with love, that every child deserves a good and nutritious meal, and that no child is to blame for their situation.

Hot meals, cooked from the heart

In the Rachel Light kitchen, we cook fresh, nutritious, and high-quality meals every day, using natural and unprocessed food.

The organization cares for orphan children, children of sick parents, and families facing financial difficulties, providing hot lunches throughout the year, including on Saturdays and holidays.

Each meal is carefully packaged and delivered directly to the family's home, with sensitivity, respect, and love.

Because at Or Rachel, we believe no child should go to sleep hungry.
